What does FoodAuthent have to do with food authenticity?

The term food authenticity (food fastness) describes the conformity of the official product description with the actually existing product features and characteristics. This applies in particular with regard to:

  • any substitution of ingredients with less expensive but similar substances,
  • stretching or mixing with outlandish substances (eg water, starch),
  • the use of unmarked or unauthorized manufacturing processes (eg irradiation, extraction),
  • the geographical, botanical or zoological origin (species).

Can I be kept informed about new results?
